We have a part that is a "make from" which has costs for outside labor and a part we stock. When I print the costed BOM for the part we use the M type part in, the outside processing shows in the line for the make from and the 2nd level part cost shows under that.
In the work order, the cost for the make from only includes the cost of the item, and not the outside processing cost. WE have never had a problem with make froms in the ordering stage, however there seems to be a problem in the estimated costs of a work order using this part. This is a problem because the variance from standard is not correct for a work order without the considerable cost for outside processing showing up in the cost of the M type part.
Have we set up this part number incorrectly?

Well I figured out which report I was misreading so ignore the whole topic! :-[
