Title: Where do I find the Service Repair work order? Post by sunmfg on 07/20/06 at 08:23:34 I need to have some parts repainted for a customer, so I thought I would try this Service Repair module. I created a S/R order for the part number I sell, and then printed the S/R. I then did SR-C to convert to a work order. My thought was that I could collect the costs of two outside processes there, but I could not find the converted work order anywhere, so I don't even know what number it was assigned, or if it even exists. So, I can't issue a PO against it. Can someone give me a clue? Thanks, Wayne Walkup Sun Manufacturing, Inc. Coweta, Oklahoma |

The first time I let the system pick the SR number, which was 1. I copied that to number 1001 and deleted the first one, then created work order. Neither one show up in WO-A, or WO-B, or anywhere else. Wayne |
Title: Re: Where do I find the Service Repair work order? Post by sunmfg on 07/21/06 at 11:14:00 I just searched for the 1001 number in the WORKORD data file, using maintain database, and it is not there. I take that to mean the work order is not being created. Can you help me fix that? Thanks, Wayne |
Title: Re: Where do I find the Service Repair work order? Post by Lynn Pantic on 08/08/06 at 16:00:31 What is the Inventory Type of the parts being repaired? Purchased parts (Type R) don't get work orders. We have recently changed that to allow the Service/Repair WO for type R parts because in Repair mode, you may well decide to do the work yourself. |
