When trying to edit lot or serial number info only the first entry for and number can be edited. For instance, given this list of lot numbers

ITEM NUMBER LOT NUMBER ON HAND QTY LOCATION
___________ __________ ___________ ________

MER-3000T 120855 0.00 BW
MER-3000T 120855 1.00 EXHBT
MER-3000T 120855 3.00 DPA

I can edit the first entry, but I cannot edit the second or third. When I choose the second entry from the lookup it comes up in the edit screen, but when I tab out of the lot number field of the edit screen the first record is retrieved into the edit screen. Same happens in SC-A.

I also suspect that this faulty lookup routine (code fragment or class) is used during the lookup process when associating serial numbers with sales orders, since we have had similar problems with that.

I was able to duplicate and fix the LC-A bug. However, I cannot seem to duplicate the SC-A bug. What version (i.e. ISTS Enhancement Date) are you using?

My version info is always in my sig., but I just noticed an additional bit of info about my SC-A problem. The problem seems to be related to multiple entries for the same serial number in the same location. If I have...

Item Number Serial Number OHQty ... Location

66-DM-01 11156 0 DPA

... then I cannot issue the second item. I get an error telling me that the quantity on hand has changed since I started the process, even though the second one showed up as available in the lookup window for Release SO or Invoice processes.

Perhaps the bigger question is why I have multiple entries for the same SN in the same location? This seems to be happening during Return To Stock situations when we issue a Sales Order for -1 of the product.

That should be fixed and/or some sort of routine created that will consolidate serial number location entries.

We will be updating to the 8/11/06 update on 9/5. Will the fix for LC-A be incorporated in that update before then, or will I need to patch that separately?

I see entries for the same Serial # only after we do a location transfer. If we return an item via credit SO, it will put an -1 UOH for the transaction. It does increase UOH in inventory, it just has a -1 in the available serial file.

Transfers seem to work just fine, even multiple transfers in and out of the same locations.
