Title: 8-11 menu items missing Post by jonv on 08/16/06 at 04:57:18 Installed the 8-11 update last night. The new menu items, ie SA-O are missing from the ADMIN menu. I have tried logging on as the ADMIN and as a user with an A code. The menu items are not present. I downloaded the latest menu last night - still not present. I looked at the menusu.dbf, I can not find the new menu items in the memo field. Is there an updated menu? |
Title: Re: 8-11 menu items missing Post by Forum Admin on 08/16/06 at 06:41:04 You should have it. I know Lenette does because she just thanked us for the SA-O program in another post. If you edit another user's menu, is it there on the right side list to be added? Averything on the right side will be available under ADMIN. |
Title: Re: 8-11 menu items missing Post by jonv on 08/16/06 at 12:09:45 We do not have any of the menu items including SA-O. The items do not appear on the right hand side in any user configuration. I suspect I am missing somthing simple. Jon |
Title: Re: 8-11 menu items missing Post by JNAPIER on 08/16/06 at 12:27:04 I have it in my ADMIN login. John |
Title: Re: 8-11 menu items missing Post by Lynn Pantic on 08/16/06 at 12:40:21 Jon - What is the modified date of your BKMENUSU.TXT file? That is the file that the ADMIN login looks at. Help - About shows the 8/11 update? If you load WO-A, what is the modified date in the upper banner on the screen? |

Title: Re: 8-11 menu items missing Post by maggie on 08/25/06 at 12:52:56 After downloading the 08-11-06 update, I was also missing the SA-O menu. (The PS-E and PS-F menus were also missing.) I am designated as an admin user by the "A" under security code in the PS-A file. I had to sign on with the userid of ADMIN, then I went into PS-A to edit my userid. Althought I did not change anything, I still had to go through the edit process. After I went through the edit process, the missing menus appeared when using my user I.D. This may not be related to your problem, since you indicated you had signed on as "ADMIN". Good luck! |

I too have menu issues. When I log in with the ADMIN account, I don't get any of the new TAS-7 menus / screens. The only way I have access to them, is to add a user in TAS-G and manually add the newer menus. |
Title: Re: 8-11 menu items missing Post by cmsk on 01/04/07 at 06:59:29 Okay, more menu mess. I'm trying to add the PS menu to a user account under TAS-G, and the menu line items listed under PS come up all as the lines for PR. Obviously, I have some kind of problems going on here -- especially with my ADMIN account, as stated above. Please advise on some fix suggestions. Many thanks |
Title: Re: 8-11 menu items missing Post by Lynn_Pantic on 01/04/07 at 07:03:27 Can you open BKMENUSU.C in Evo Maintain Database and delete the ADMIN entry? Then log in as ADMIN and it should rebuild it. Back up all the BKMENUSU.* files first. |
Title: Re: 8-11 menu items missing Post by cmsk on 01/04/07 at 07:27:34 Okay, I try to open that file and I get an "Error while opening file: Error Number 70" message, followed by a "location of file trying to be opened C:\DBADEMO\" dialog box. I have no idea why it's pointing to the C drive. DBAMFG is on a dedicated server drive -- X: to be specific, and I don't have a DBADEMO folder on the C: drive either. BTW, the main DBA folder doesn't have the file BKMENUSU.C in it (nor anywhere else, as a search confirmed), but it DOES appear under Maintain Database, so I'm not sure what's going on here... |
Title: Re: 8-11 menu items missing Post by cmsk on 01/08/07 at 04:07:25 Also, for what it's worth, as I stated in the ODBC thread, our company files are in the main DBAMFG folder. As I asked under the other topic, is this a problem? It's been like that since we've started using DBA, but if I need to move the files to a dedicated folder to keep things "clean," than I need to know that -- and also what I need to move where. What's the process? In any event, I'm still having the menu problems as detailed in previous posts. Please advise. |

Well, they are in the "default" folder, just not in a dedicated folder like the temp company. Yes, serious MRP issues too, as I've detailed in that forum. I'm currently trying to work with Lori on this as it seems the forum has been extremely quiet. |
