Title: SO Error Message
Post by clandsman on 08/24/06 at 09:45:25

When I try to do anything in SO (Enter orders, print reports, etc), this error message pops up:

System default GL Clearing Account has not been specified.  Please use the "GL Defaults" menu selection to specify this GL Account by using this program

Why would this start happening over night?  What am I missing? :P

Look in AD-A and see if you have the clearing account specified. If that setting was changed or maybe if the clearing account was deleted from your COA?

I probably should have specified this is for EVO.

I am currently running both DBA classic and EVO.  EVO worked fine on Monday.  The only things changed were a logo and e-mail setup.

I looked in AD-A and clearing account is blank.  The problem is when I try to enter the same account #'s as we have in DBA, EVO will not accept them as all of the account numbers have not been set up in EVO or are not there.

Catch 22, I cannot look in COA as the same error message pops up.

So, you have EVO intalled separate from your DBA? Maybe for an evaluation? Copy all of your *.Bxx files from your DBAMFG folder to your EVO install. If you used all the install defaults, you will copy them to X:\evoerp\default This will let you run with all your current co. info. A few B files reside in other locations in your EVO folder though, Not sure which ones ?

Up until a few days ago EVO was linked to DBA.  I was able to enter orders, print reports, etc.

So, I'm not sure what has happened.  We are currently checking with our IT people, but as far as I know nothing has been updated or changed.

Make sure you are in the right company.

Thank you that was it.  Learned something new today.
