Since I copied my installation to my laptop and moved the data to a different location I thought I would use ODBCDDF to re-create the DDFs. However, I get the following error when I try running it:

(working on AHSYLOG)

BTRIEVE error: - C:\DBAMFG\VH\FILE.DDF -46

I've tried it both with leaving the existing DDFs there as well as renaming them. If I rename them, it re-creates them as soon as I start ODBCDDF (with a date of 11/3/1998).

It is a Pervasive 9 versus old Btrieve 5.1 files problem. Use the Pervasive Rebuild utility and rebuild the *.NEW files in DBAMFG

That worked, after I discovered the source of a bunch of error messages I was getting at startup (but didn't seem to affect DBA or CR). Somehow MSCVP71.DLL apparently didn't get copied to windows\system32. I copied the one from my desktop system and all is well.
