Title: invalid field name Post by fdiala on 09/25/06 at 11:21:46 Hello All, I am linking the tables to MSAccess. The ODBC works fine except in some tables where the field name contains spaces, it not importing/linking. Any suggestions. Thanks, Diala |
Title: Re: invalid field name Post by Kelloggs on 09/25/06 at 13:01:41 I dont know of any table that has fields with spaces on it. Try to recreate you ODBC DSN connections. Regards, Kelloggs |
Title: Re: invalid field name Post by fdiala on 09/26/06 at 04:17:01 I tried several times, still not working, look at table MTICMSTR & WORKORD. They have column names like "MTIC_PROD_SPECS[ 1]" and "MTWO_WIP_INSTR[ 1]" between the brackets and the number there is a space which is causing a problem in importing or linking. Any ideas? Thanks, Diala |
Title: Re: invalid field name Post by cathyh on 09/26/06 at 06:37:59 I just looked at my WORKORD table in Access and the field you mentioned is showing up as MTWO_WIP_INSTR_1 with no brackets and no space. I don't know why it is different from what you are looking at. |
Title: Re: invalid field name Post by HB on 09/26/06 at 08:02:37 that is the way they show up in "Maintain Databse" In the linked table it shows as xx _1 |
Title: Re: invalid field name Post by fdiala on 09/27/06 at 05:01:19 I fixed it, I had to delete the DSN from the server and re-create it with checking the ome/ansi option. It does not work if you click the option after you creat the DSN. Thanks for all, Diala |
