Title: Historical Data
Post by karjon on 09/26/06 at 11:39:17

Is there any way to access information in DBA older than 2 years.  The information is on our system but if I try to do a detailed trial balance of say Plant equipment GL account I am told I can only get information going back two years.

We are having a government tax audit and they want information going back to 2002 for equipment purchases for both plant and office.

I am pretty sure this is the way to do it.

Make a copy of your company in UT-I (create and copy from your company code) and in the copy go to AM-A and reset the current fiscal year start date to 01/01/04.  You will be able to see 2002, 2003, and 2004.

AD-A, not AM-A but you are on the right track.

That will allow GL-E for the prior years, but if they just want to see transaction detail for an audit, try GL-C in the real company.  That has no limitation (assuming you haven't consolidated transactions.)

If you want to actually print financial statements for prior years, then after you create the test company, you need to runt UT-K-D in that test company using the prior year dates.
