Title: Travelor$Picklist dropping bom line items Post by TFay on 10/03/06 at 08:41:15 Randomly and not always the same item # when we open a W/O and print the traveler and pick list BOM items are missing. If we cancel and open a new W/O we can get the entire BOM to print. The scary part is that on long BOM's we don't always notice the missing parts until we start to build the assembly. Is there a way to repair the W/O without cancel and reprint and is there a way to eliminate this from happening in the first place? |
Title: Re: Travelor$Picklist dropping bom line items Post by Vman on 10/03/06 at 12:13:43 WO-K-B allows you to edit BOM's on workorders. That way you can add in any parts that are missing. The question is are the items not being allocated to the W/O, or is it just that they are not being printed? I assume the former, which is not good. |

The missing materials are NOT allocated. The only way we've found to correct this is to cancel the original order and create a new one. |
Title: Re: Travelor$Picklist dropping bom line items Post by Vman on 12/05/06 at 14:03:54 I know that Lynn and crew have been working diligently to try to minimize the adverse effects of record locks. Hopefully this is one that can be made better. My company is very small and we normally only have one person in workorders at a time, so it hasn't been problem for us. Back a few years ago when we had our peer to peer server an the accounting computer (definitely not a very bright thing to do), we had all kinds of bad things happen due to record locks. |
