I had some very off numbers today in the PO Booked transactions in the tmp3 file. I ran a test in my test company and found that a PO created by copying an open PO did not show up in Booked PO's tmp 3 file. If I entered the same PO from scratch it did. Haven't tested copying a closed PO.

Unfortunantly, we use copy PO alot!

In the real company, the copied PO was not there (five lines of the same part, same extended Price, so hard to miss) but there were a bunch of numbers listed as PO Booked for yesterday's date that I can't find anywhere else- no open PO entered yesterday, no PO entered and received yesterday.

???

I did figure out the entries in PO Booked that were not in the PO report for orders on 10/19-- they were lines added to existing PO's so even though the items were booked on 10/19 the open PO had a different order date. The copied PO is a problem though.

Copy PO's is always a problem for us. It could save us a world of time, but it just doesn't work most of the time and creates more headaches than it resolves. Maybe someone from ISTECH could set out the parameters or when it is appropriate to use etc.

Today the Business Status says that we have
($24,000) in open PO's! Obviously the ending balance for November is way off. Both booked and received PO numbers for this month are close (+/- 1000) but our open PO report says $61,000.

Is anyone at IS Tech working on this program? Should I just stop looking at it?

Cathy,

Lynn and I are going to contact you in the beginning of January to pick your brains about all your findings with the Business status program. Please keep on documenting all you have.. it will help us to get this thing working once and for all.
