Title: output from T6GLN & BKGLN STILL don't match Post by khays on 11/22/06 at 11:17:50 this is a repost of a previous problem still causing grief after the 10/31/06 update. the balance sheet created by t6gln.run doesn't match that produced by bkgln.run - more specifically - the totals on page one match but the t6 version shows all positive numbers and adds them as positive numbers. numbers that appear in brakets as negative numbers on the bk version are shown and sumed as positive on the t6 programs therefore the balance sheet doesn't balance. it had been suggested that my version was old - the new t6gln.run title bar says 10/05/06 my custom report names still don't show up in the lookup table on this new version either. |
Title: Re: output from T6GLN & BKGLN STILL don't matc Post by cathyh on 12/05/06 at 10:39:58 There are definitely problems with the T6GLN1. RTM and custom balance sheet. The assets are fine, but the Liability Type O GL accounts are missing the brackets. In the case of retained earnings, if they are negative(a credit balance) that would normally print in liabilities without brackets(since all those brackets would be distracting), and this means that positive amounts ( a debit balance) should print with brackets. They seem to in other parts of the custom report, but not in the Owner's Equity part. Bigger problem in my opinion is the fact that the total for current earnings in my custom report seems to depend on my running the standard balance sheet first. If I run the custom statement first, the current earnings are not correct and balance sheet does not balance. If I then run the standard balance sheet GL-F, and run the custom report again, the number is correct and it balances! Of course there is still the problem of no lookup, also. |
