Title: error when trying to post Post by HB on 11/27/06 at 07:46:42 When attempting to post GL transactions, the following message appears after clicking on "yes" to post. There is no "out of balance" situation reported. The following is the message: "The field you are trying to use is unallocated. It may be belong to a file that has not been opened yet or was an array that was removed from memory. ISBSF.AR.DEPO Also the same message with ISBSF.AR.BAL Any help would be appreciated |
Title: Re: error when trying to post Post by Lynn_Pantic on 11/27/06 at 08:03:25 Those are fields in the ISBS file for the Business Status. Did you recently install the update? |
Title: Re: error when trying to post Post by HB on 11/27/06 at 08:28:07 we are fully up to date since 2 weeks ago. also installed EVO-ERP, but this happens in both versions |
Title: Re: error when trying to post Post by HB on 11/27/06 at 12:25:16 Another message now pops up when attempting to open GL-O: "You are trying to open a file without specifying the record size. You probably specified an FD name. In this case you must also provide the record size." |
Title: Re: error when trying to post Post by Lynn_Pantic on 11/27/06 at 19:17:34 Have you posted GL-O since installing the update or is this the first attempt? |
Title: Re: error when trying to post Post by HB on 11/27/06 at 19:40:56 this was our first attempt after the update. |
Title: Re: error when trying to post Post by HB on 11/29/06 at 08:13:53 Anybody have an idea how to solve this problem ??? Our accountant needs to close the month out by tomorrow :'( |
Title: Re: error when trying to post Post by Lynn_Pantic on 11/29/06 at 18:59:08 It appears that the new ISBSF file has been defined in the data dictionary without a FD (or Field Definition). In Evo, you can go to UT-D and do a lookup. Find the ISBSF file and select it and edit the FD to ISBSF. If you are having the problem in Classic, try UT-A program UPDFILE and choose the ISBSF file and Process. |
Title: Re: error when trying to post Post by HB on 11/30/06 at 05:28:43 It appears that after the update some companies had the FD named and others, including our live company, not. Lynn, thank you very much, you made my day :D |
Title: Re: error when trying to post Post by HB on 11/30/06 at 07:21:54 just one more minor issue: When trying to run UPDFILE in DBA Classic, it tells me I need to run it from the default company. But the default company 99 is not listed in the pick list. I do not find it in the DBAMFG folder. How do I restore it? |
