Title: Fata Error Copying Sales Order Post by gtladmin on 01/24/07 at 10:37:38 Just had someone in SO-A, selected a sales order in the list and clicked on the "Copy SO" button and they got a popup window that read FATAL ERR - File: t6soa.src Line: 4..... (could not see the rest of the window title) Error during internal field find. and an OK button. After clicking on OK, they got an access violation error. Anyone seen this error before? Val |
Title: Re: Fata Error Copying Sales Order Post by LeAnn Cucchiara on 01/30/07 at 08:50:00 I got the very same error while clicking on Exit at the SO-A screen. This has happened several times. FATAL ERR - File: t6soa.src Line: 4221 The file you are trying to use is unallocated. It may belong to a file that hasn't been opened yet, or was an array that was removed from memory. Clicked OK - Also got the "Access Violation" error. Clicked OK - error message went away but left a blank SO-A screen & it would not close. Had to Ctrl, Alt, Delete & end through Task Mgr. |
Title: Re: Fata Error Copying Sales Order Post by NovaZyg on 01/31/07 at 09:31:31 to all users, if you get an Error message screen that tells you the File and line number, Please post that info ASAP. The line numbers of the code change when we modify the programs, so a message that you get for a program we have since modified from our last post, will most likely not be correct. So the faster you get us the info the faster we can fix the bug. Thanks... |
Title: Re: Fata Error Copying Sales Order Post by Cyndee Pappas on 01/31/07 at 12:04:42 Allen, I'm not sure if you want this. I didn't quite understand about changes made since the last post. Do you want these reported if we are on an old version? We are on the 022806 update and received this error. FATAL ERR - File: t6soa.src Line: 4105 The file you are trying to use is unallocated. It may belong to a file that hasn't been opened yet, or was an array that was removed from memory. |
Title: Re: Fata Error Copying Sales Order Post by NovaZyg on 01/31/07 at 12:27:19 Cyndee, I want to hear about all errors, so we can fix them or let you know if they have already been fixed. I guess I would need to know what version you are on when you give me the program and line number so I can go dig up the old code for that version and find that line ie 4105 in t6soa.src.. My point was line 4105 in t6soa.src for version 2/28/06 might be line 4221 in my current version of that code because we have made changes in there since the 2/28/06 version. It could be the same bug or something different, but the line numbers, file name, and update version will help us to track it down. |
Title: Re: Fata Error Copying Sales Order Post by NovaZyg on 02/01/07 at 10:48:44 I have looked at line 4221 of t6soa and it is a line in the copy SO code. But I have just copied 6 SO's without any errors. Can you give me a bit more to go on. What exactly was happening when you did the copy SO, did you enter a number or let the system assign the next number, were other people entering SO's at the same time on another PC? did you just go into SO-A and pick the SO and click the copy SO button or did you look at the SO first. Did you enter and save a SO or enter and exit (not save) then press the copy SO button... these are things that can help me to find and fix this bug... |
Title: Re: Fata Error Copying Sales Order Post by kkmfg on 02/01/07 at 15:15:33 Just in case this helps. I tried it every way I could think of and it never crashes for me either. I copied with the next SO#, I tried specifying a number, I tried viewing an SO then copying, I tried viewing, saving, and copying. It worked fine for me every single time. I tried with both open and closed SO's. |
Title: Re: Fata Error Copying Sales Order Post by gtladmin on 02/02/07 at 15:04:54 Allen, My users claim they just clicked on the sales order in the list then clicked copy so, nothing more. Yes, there are plenty of others who are/were entering sales orders at that time (always are). My real guess is (and now they can't remember) they looked at the SO first to make sure it was the one they wanted to copy, then when back to the list, selected it, and then chose copy so, and then got the error. I'll have to keep track and see if I can get more out them the next time. Thanks, Val |
