Title: email button Post by dstary on 02/27/07 at 12:47:33 trying to email a reprinted invoice. have to go through the complete screen, can't just click on the button after entering the invoice number anymore. Great Update!!! |
Title: Re: email button Post by Lynn_Pantic on 03/01/07 at 06:38:10 You can click the Print button as soon as you enter the from/through invoice number and get the print dialog box. You do not have to enter or tab through the entire screen. The Email button should have been removed long ago, it does not call the standard interface for printing. |
Title: Re: email button Post by dstary on 03/01/07 at 13:34:13 Thank you very much for responding. How do we get rid of that button? |

??? It works fine here. Skips right over the print dialog and prepares an email. It's not supposed to work that way? |
Title: Re: email button Post by NovaZyg on 03/01/07 at 14:15:35 The Email button was the first way we implemented Email in a few programs (SOB,SOC,SOF,POB,POE). We have since made all RTM's able to email, print, preview, etc... in the standard Print dialog. That replaces the custom programs with an email button. The Email button will be removed some time this year during the system cleanup. To email now as a standard you just Print and select email as the printer. We are trying to make the system consistent and not have different ways of doing something from program to program.. |
Title: Re: email button Post by dstary on 03/01/07 at 15:55:13 Okay One more email problem. We are not able to choose a range of invoices, acknowledgements or reports e.g. I255355 thru I255360 and email them. It doesn't seem to like more than one. Any ideas?? |
Title: Re: email button Post by Lynn_Pantic on 03/01/07 at 17:35:07 I don't understand what you are saying. I email ranges of invoices all the time. Please elaborate. I can select a range of invoices to email (either print new or reprint posted) and it sorts them by customer and pops up the email window for each customer to click Send. |
Title: Re: email button Post by David Waldmann on 03/02/07 at 07:34:43 Yes, I can email ranges of Invoices, Acknowledgements, PLs, etc. NovaZyg wrote:
Have you (in the latest update) made it so it won't end up asking you twice which form you want to use when you go that route? That's the reason I like the Email Button - it asks you the form and gives you the email dialog. If you "Print" it asks you the form name, then when you select "Email" from the Print Dialog it asks you again what form you want. NovaZyg wrote:
And that is appreciated. ....and if you're looking for more things to consistantize, you might consider things like the order of WO# and Date in WO-F & WO-I. It would be really nice if it was the same as WO-A, WO-B, WO-D and WO-G.... |
Title: Re: email button Post by dstary on 03/05/07 at 09:56:53 I'll try to elaborate more. I think I found the problem. We changed the Subject Line to say :Permatron %DATA% instead of Evo~Erp email, which usually is tagged as junk mail by our customers. When I try to email Quotes, reprint invoices, and email more than 1 invoice, Evo does not send the attachment. (It says it cannot be found). When i change it back, it works fine. I've been playing with it all morning. Does anyone else have this problem. |
