Title: IN-A ioncorrectly shows 0 on hand units
Post by Shanthi  Nair on 03/05/07 at 07:55:35

We are using DBA classic with ISTECH update 10/31/06.

IN-A shows 0 on hand even though IN-E shows that we should have 1136 units on hand. Can somebody explain why that is. I have a backup copy of the database and that shows 1104 units. Is there some way to fix it.

Thanks
Shanthi

I am also having inconsistent inventory on hand problems.  My transactions say one thing and the total oh hand says something different.  Anyone know how to fix this?

Do you use SO-N Convert Sales Orders to Work Orders? There was a problem affecting only a few users, so very hard to debug. Check your BKICLOC for the affected part and see if it is OK.

I tried to rebuild stock IN-L-S but it didn't work.

How do I check BKICLOC file?

We do use SO-N to create work orders. But this has been happening only after we updated. SM-J_C seems to fix the problem but I would like to try and avoid creating the problem. So if some one can tell me how I would greatly appreciate that. Otherwise we are having to run SM_J_C almost everyday.

About BKICLOC. We had another part that had the same problem. And the location record for that was missing all together. Can anybody tell me how that might happen.

Use Maintain Database under the file menu to look at the data files.  Just be careful not to change or delete anything.

Most of the field names in that file are self explanatory.

We were having this problem last year, but were told it has been fixed last June. I have not updated so I can't say one way or the other. See http://www.istechforum.com/cgi-bin/YaBB.pl?num=1147128410
