Title: Editing AR notes on existing Sales Order
Post by cathyh on 03/29/07 at 10:37:09

We are in the process of changing AR notes for a particular customer with about 30 open sale orders.  We used to get a pop-up whenever we saved a sales order that asked if we wanted to add AR notes.  We do not have that anymore- the only time we are asked is when the sales order is created.
While we thought at times it was a nuisance (if you had already added AR notes and you said yes, it added them again!) now we want it back!
Our plan was to delete current AR notes on the Sales Order, and say yes to add, having edited already the AR notes for the customer.  Does anyone have a suggestion on how we can accomplish this other than typing the same 3 lines 30 times?  :'(

'fraid not.

But you really only have to type two lines thirty times (copy and paste the longest/most cumbersome one). Or, if you really HATE typing, type them once into an open NotePad text document, and then <Alt>+<Tab> back and forth, copying and pasting each line.

Thanks David for your response.  Turned out that we only needed one line changed and so we did  copy/paste for that one line.

I am still wondering whether or not, in the past, we imagined the pop-up each time we saved the SO .....

You are not imagining it.  But it did save multiple copies, that's why we got rid of it and it only prompts when entering a new order.
