Am I correct that in EVO we cannot combine customer codes? We used to be able to do it in DBA, but couldn't in EVO.

Is that still the case?

You can. Your menu may be calling the old program. The Change Customer Progran is NZCUSTCM.RUN and Vendor is NZVENDCM.RUN so check your menu. ADMIN should be calling the correct program.

I tried to change customer codes under the ADMIN login via combine customer codes - it didn't work. I get the message - must be new code.

Is it still just SM-J-M - Combine customer codes, or is it a seperate option that I am not seeing. The program under SM-J-M ADMIN is bkamm.run. I can update the program for the user that needs this but want to be sure it's not supposed to be another option I am just missing.

(And why would the ADMIN be pointing to the wrong program?)

Could it be that you are trying to 'combine' 2 existing customers as one customer whereas SM-J-M only lets you change one customer code to a new code?

Yes, that is what I am trying to do. We have customer code XX and customer code YY. It is the same customer. We want to combine both to one code XX (or YY, etc)

I could be wrong but I don't think the system will allow you to combine customers - I believe that it will only let you change & since the code that you want to change to already exists, that's a problem. We have had that same issue in the past.

What about doing a UT-K-B, Global Field Replace? This is strickly a shot in the dark here. Maybe someone with more experience should chime in. Or are all of those people off today????

That's what I'm unsure about. I know with DBA (but not EVO) we could combine customer codes via change customer codes.

The menu should call NZCUSTCM.RUN for Change Customer and NZVENDCM.RUN for Vendor to call the program to merge as well as change to new. I will update the Admin menu. Meanwhile, you can use TAs-G to edit your menu or run the program at UT-A
