Title: User License error Post by agsansoo on 04/20/07 at 13:17:48 After updating DBA to 2/14/2007 version I get " you have not renewed your ISTECH support license" message. Lynn not answering my call or emails !!! Can Anybody Help ??? |
Title: Re: User License error Post by rlevasseur on 04/20/07 at 13:29:28 I had the same problem today and had to revert to a backup copy to do payroll. I believe Lynn is in Texas doing a training seminar. Hopefully, it gets resolved next week. Rick |
Title: Re: User License error Post by agsansoo on 04/20/07 at 13:35:28 Thanks for the reply ...! That's why I can't get her. Geezs ... I really want a different program for our company ... Any suggestions ? |
Title: Re: User License error Post by Lynn_Pantic on 04/20/07 at 16:23:02 The complete update includes the current license file for all licensed users and installs it to the correct place when the update and patches are installed per the instructions provided. If you are getting a "You have not renewed your IS Tech License..." message (as opposed to "You are not licensed...") then the license file the program is looking at. Either your *.B files do not reside in either of the 2 most common locations (the main DBAMFG application folder or the DEFAULT subfolder), or you reinstalled an older license file after the update, or you installed only the patch files and not the main update, or you installed the patch files and did not specify "Include Folder Names" when unzipping the file so that the license file was installed to the DEFAULT subfolder. |
Title: Re: User License error Post by rlevasseur on 04/21/07 at 09:17:07 I did go thru the entire update installation again and did follow the directions. DBA is now working with the 2/14/07 update! However, EVO when run, runs with a Limited Demo. I did find on the forum about installing the suwin7.dcy to the dbamfg folder. I did do that and get the results. What am I doing wrong to get Evo to run? Rick |
Title: Re: User License error Post by Lynn_Pantic on 04/21/07 at 13:38:04 If you are getting the Limited Record Demo message (as opposed to Expired license) you need the full (rather than demo) version of SUWIN7.DCY ion both DBAMFG and C:\ISTS. I will email you the file. |
Title: Re: User License error Post by rlevasseur on 04/23/07 at 08:38:29 Great, I look foward to the new license. Rick |
Title: Re: User License error Post by rlevasseur on 04/23/07 at 14:19:49 I copied the the SUWIN7.DCY to both the DBAMFG and C:\ISTS folders as instructed and when EVO fires up it come up with the Limited Demo and this error: "Error Detected in Demo. Please contact info@istechsupport.com" Rick |
Title: Re: User License error Post by Lynn_Pantic on 04/23/07 at 15:56:47 When it loads up, do you see the license screen that says "Licensed to Levasseur Precision" or does it say Demo? Sounds like somehow you got the demo license files installed on top of your real ones. |
Title: Re: User License error Post by rlevasseur on 04/23/07 at 16:37:39 Lynn, The splash screen specifies Limited Demo. Rick |
Title: Re: User License error Post by rlevasseur on 04/24/07 at 17:50:28 What would be your next suggestion to resolve this? Thanks, Rick |
Title: Re: User License error Post by Lynn_Pantic on 04/24/07 at 18:17:49 The license fle with your company info and serial number is named SUWIN6.DCY. If you can find that file on the original email that was sent to you, save to DBAMFG. If not, email me and I can send a replacement. The one currently in DBAMFG is a Demo version which is causing your problems. |
Title: Re: User License error Post by rlevasseur on 04/25/07 at 11:50:10 Lynn, I sent you an email with the different screen shots. I would have posted them here but could not get them to come out. Hopefully, you will see what I am doing wrong. Rick |
Title: Re: User License error Post by rlevasseur on 04/30/07 at 16:41:26 agsansoo, Did you finally get past the error?? I am still with the same error!! Rick :( |
