Title: Linking Lot Numbers to Bins Post by jduncan on 05/31/07 at 14:49:29 If anyone can help with this please do. I would like to be able to see which lot numbers are in which bin locations for a given item number. So for example: Item #: 300-1000-1 Total Master Qty = 200 Lot #s: 1 Qty = 50 2 Qty = 50 3 Qty = 50 4 Qty = 25 5 Qty = 25 Total Lot Qty = 200 Bin Locations: ABC Qty = 100 XYZ Qty = 100 Total Bin Qty = 200 My Question: Is there any way for one to see which of the 2 bin locations the 5 lot numbers are located in. For just 2 bin locations I could just go look at the physical items but if I had 20 lot numbers spaced out over 40 bin locations then the option to just go look doesn't work very well. Is there any way for DBA to tell me this information. Even if it ment changing or adding code. This is becooming a major issue for us. |
Title: Re: Linking Lot Numbers to Bins Post by Lynn_Pantic on 06/08/07 at 12:29:37 No, not at this time. We did develop the data structure in the Warehouse Control Bin files to manage the Lot and Serial Control detail but did not add that extra level of spaghetti to the programming code when it foirst came out. The thinking was to get the basic Bin Control working smoothly and get the inevitable kinks out first. |
Title: Re: Linking Lot Numbers to Bins Post by jduncan on 06/13/07 at 06:29:54 Lynn, When do you think this would be put in place and are the fields already present in the tables? If so what are the fields and how are they planning on being used? I ask because there's no good way to track this outside of DBA and not being able to do so is costing us time and isn't helping keep our inventory as correct as it could be. |
