Someone please help me to remember... is there an issue with physical inventory that makes it necessary to enter a tag for every serial/lot number during PI? And if so, is it just with Type 1 or Type 2 ? I remember the fact that one of these does not work exactly how you would expect, but I can't find the reference in the help file.

I just found the entry in the help file. In PI-C there is this note:

Quote:

Be aware that for an item coded for either lot control or serial control this program expects one tag number for each lot number and serial number.

I don't recall what this is trying to tell me. If I do a Type 1 and don't enter a tag, does this mean that it will delete the serial/lot numbers without tags as you would expect a Type 2 would do?
