I'm not sure about the order of events with the patches for the SR, but I thought we had gotten rid of this problem. Maybe it was only gone for a brief moment? Anyway...

If I make an S/R order with two or more line items, when I try to run SO-G the process hangs up on the serial control screen. What I see is it bouncing back and forth between the first and second line items and never finishing the process. Hitting the Esc key ends the program, but... the work orders stay open at the very least, and sometimes the orders stay open as well (though I have trouble repeating that problem, so maybe that only happens when there are more than two line items?).

This is a critical error. As it turns out, no invoice (minus) transactions are taking place. Also, the serial number does not go into stock (serial table). The work orders add product to stock, but only the first line item gets a serial number. The rest get added to BKICLOC with serial numbers. All of the work orders stay open. None of the line items have invoicing transaction in inventory, but the posted invoice lists all of the items as if they had been transacted.

I don't know what this is doing to the GLs.

Lynn sent a patch and it seems to work just fine. Yay!

Now that the bugs are mostly worked out of the SR module, it must be time for the replacement to be published, eh?

Looks like I spoke too soon. It does *almost* everything right. It still neglects to make an S transaction in the SERIAL file for the second and subsequent lines. The INVTXN is correct, showing the repair WO putting the item in stock and the invoice taking it out. That transaction even shows the serial number. It just skips the SERIAL file update for all lines after the first.

When was the "repaired" item originally fixed? Was it before you received the ISSRGA.RUN (7/31/07) that fixed the post Invoice SRG hanging bug? That bug was not processing S/R subsequent lines, after the first line, which included not updating the UOH in the SERIAL file.

After.

Before the fix it was not putting the serial numbers into "stock" (UOH in SERIAL). It hung up before it got to the point where it asks for the serial numbers for the subsequent lines.

We are still working through a pile of unprocessed repair orders going back to May!
