Title: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by gtladmin on 09/18/07 at 17:41:26 I thought the 7/14 update had the new ability to audit changes made to the inventory files, but I can't seem to find a menu option to run a report. Any ideas? :-? Thanks, Val |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by Lynn_Pantic on 09/19/07 at 07:25:49 In IN-B (GUI version) there is a clipboard icon that will bring up a grid of the saves to the part you are in. Or QU-E and use the grid ICAUDIT. The standard grid contains part number, date, time & login ID of user, Type and Class, but you can edit the grid to contain the fields you are interested in monitoring the changes to. |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by gtladmin on 09/19/07 at 10:04:43 Ok, looked at both IN-B clipboard and the QU-E. We don't see how it's obvious what was actually changed--guess we're used to the sales order change report, where we can see it was this and now it's this. Not so obvious here. For example, I selected a part and changed just the type. Looked at the audit record and it shows the part #, my username, time and date (date listed as PO9/19/07 7B--what's the P and the 7B?), class and type. But how do I know what was changed here? I know I only changed the type, but there's no way to know by looking at this grid--it could be I changed both the type and the class. It needs to be a tad more obvious, since accounting will want to track several fields in an inventory record. Val |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by cathyh on 09/19/07 at 10:26:56 I don't seem to have this program-- when I click on the clipboard nothing happens. When I go to QU-E there is no ICAUDIT listed. :question |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by cathyh on 09/26/07 at 11:01:36 I just tried this again- nothing happens when I click the clipboard... anyone? I also do not have ICAUDIT in QU-E. |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by gtladmin on 09/27/07 at 09:27:10 Are you looking up a part first, then once it's on the screen clicking on the clipboard? (Although it actually works either way, now that I tried it). My screen indicates IN-B Inventory Inquiry ISTS Enhancements 8/29/07. Is that what your screen says when you open IN-B? Don't know why ICAUDIT isn't in the drop down list in QU-E. Maybe try it logged in as your Admin to see if it just shows up there for some strange reason. Val |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by cathyh on 09/27/07 at 10:08:49 My IN-B is "Enter Inventory" and my IN-A is "Inventory Inquiry" The IN-B is where I find the clipboard icon, not in IN-A (where I would think it would be). |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by gtladmin on 09/27/07 at 12:11:56 DAH!!!!! ;D I see, I MEANT In-B is enter inventory--silly me! But is your IN-B the same date? Val |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by cathyh on 09/27/07 at 13:50:23 Yes, my T7INB.RWN date is 8/29/07. I tried logging on as ADMIN. No difference. I do not have the ICAUDIT program in my DBA folder. |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by deburr on 04/14/08 at 11:06:21 I'm on the 12/15/07 version and I have the clipboard icon but it doesn't do anything. What am I missing? Is there some setting that needs to be turned on before this works? |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by cathyh on 04/14/08 at 11:22:41 This icon still does not work for me either---- |

Val I'm on the same version. Cathy Hamilton and myself still can not get anywhere with inventory audit. I have been updating regularly through 12/07 but somehow I'm also missing this ICAUDIT program or what ever makes this work. Any ideas to help us out? Thanks, Steve |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by deburr on 04/28/08 at 08:09:21 Does anybody know which file contains the inventory audit info? I was able to see some truncated info in the evo report IN-O. Since I can't get the grid problem solved, I would like to write a Crystal Report to see the data. |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by NovaZyg on 04/28/08 at 08:54:48 ISICADT, and ISMICATD. are the audit files for BKICMSTR, and MTICMSTR. |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by cathyh on 04/29/08 at 08:09:06 Allen, can you please address why Val and I do not seem to have this program? |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by deburr on 04/30/08 at 05:26:18 Allen Thanks for the file names. If the missing program issue gets resolved, please put me on the list to get the program. Thanks |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by cathyh on 05/20/08 at 09:49:47 Ally, ally in free! Does no one at IS Tech know where this file is (ICAUDIT) ? Just a quick answer (NO- you don't have it because it is not available- YES most people have it ,don't know why you don't so here it is) will do. Thanks! |

Does anyone have any idea? I would love to know why we can't get this to work. |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by Lynn_Pantic on 06/05/08 at 08:56:35 It is not a file, it is a grid in the drilldown. Download the current drill master file from www.istechsupport.com/dl/drillm.zip and unzip to the root DBAMFG folder. Then go to Queries - SU-D and choose Skip if you only want to add grids that you do not already have (such as ICAUDIT), Replace if you want to update any of your existing grids with anything newer we may have developed (not good if you have customized a lot of grids) or Overwrite if you wanrt to completely replace the existing grids with our master set. |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by deburr on 06/16/08 at 08:54:06 There's got to be more to it than that. I tried what Lynn suggested and I still don't have audit grids. I did lose my ability to search by customer. Customer sort was replaced by a UPC. Cathy, did you make any progress? |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by cathyh on 06/16/08 at 10:13:28 I did this before but I tried it again.... I got the latest drill master file and unzipped it- but by root DBAMFG folder do you mean the DBA folder or the Default file in the DBA folder where the .B files exist? I looked in my default folder and I have two files ISDRILL.B and ISDRLLM.B, dated 5/31/08. In the DBA folder I have a file ISDRILL.B dated 9/5/06 and there is also a file ISDRILLM.B dated 4/28/08, which is the one I just downloaded and unzipped to the DBA folder. should I put this in the Default folder instead? After downloading it I ran the QU-D and said "skip" since I do not want to replace all the grids- I have modified some. After doing this I still do not have the ICAUDIT grid. So, No, Steve, I haven't made any progress! |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by NovaZyg on 06/16/08 at 10:37:21 Cathy, ISDRILL is the temp file that gets written to when you are drilling so it know where to drill back up to. ISDRILLM is the file that keeps the actual Parent / Child relations SU-B (the list of places you can drill to) BKLUGRID is the file that contains the Grid Data.. SU-A (this is the file you need to be up to date) ISDRILLM and BKLUGRID in the DBAMFG folder are our copies. So when we send you an update we put our latest files in there. The files, ISDRILLM and BKLUGRID that are used by Evo are in the Drill folder. The Update program compares our stuff to yours and adds anything new that we have added. (well it is supposed to anyway...) There is a util called T7GDM (GriD Maintenance) This will force the compare. There are three modes to run this in . Skip, Replace and Overwrite... Skip will skip records that already exist in both files. Replace will replace your records with ours. and Overwrite, will just blow away your files and move our default files into the Drill folder. Hope this helps.. (my suggestion would be to run T7GDM in replace mode first.. if that does not work then Overwrite.) |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by cathyh on 06/16/08 at 11:23:27 If I say replace, won't it replace the ones I have changed? I don't want to replace any I just want the ones that aren't there that should be, namely ICAUDIT. I ran SU-D and T7GMD and chose "Skip";if it worked, shouldn't I see the ICAUDIT grid when I run SU-A? I don't see it. |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by deburr on 06/18/08 at 12:20:17 Cathy I tried what Allen said but still no audit grid here. We must have some out of date file, or be missing some setting somewhere else. I can't believe it would be this difficult to figure out. There must be something wrong. Steve |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by cathyh on 06/18/08 at 13:10:06 Steve, Allen sent me his grid file and that did the trick. Email him and ask for it. I'd send it to you but I don't see your email listed in the directory. |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by NovaZyg on 06/18/08 at 13:31:06 Steve, i just sent it to you.... |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by deburr on 06/26/08 at 09:22:16 Allen Thanks for the file. I installed but still no audit grid. I don't have a clue why. Steve |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by Lynn_Pantic on 06/28/08 at 05:59:02 I just reuploaded the grid to www.istechsupport.com/dl/drill.zip. Unzip to DBAMFG and then use SU-D and shoose Skip to only add new grids (which would include ICAUDIT if you do not have it) |
Title: Re: 7/14 update audit inventory Post by deburr on 06/30/08 at 13:17:28 The link didn't work but I found the file and downloaded. I now have the ICAUDIT grid, and the audit grid button in IN-B works! Thanks |
