I HAVE A TRANSACTION WITH A 8/13/08 DATE WHICH I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CORRECT THRU GL-P, BUT GL-P IS NOT ALLOWING ME TO CHANGE THE DATE ON SOME OF THE TRANSACTIONS WHICH ARE INVENTORY AND PO REC'D NOT INVOICED ACCOUNT, HOW CAN I CORRECT IT TO THE RIGHT DATE?

You DON'T want to do it that way. As the message in GL-P is telling you, changing the date in GL-P will not correct all the related subsidiary tables (Agings, Inventory, etc.) so your files will be out of synch. You need to go back to the original program where the erroneous date was entered, process a reversing entry for that same erroneous date, then re-enter the transaction for the correct date.
