Title: Creating SO Templates?? Post by MCMAL on 10/27/07 at 12:42:03 We are trying to setup and standardize sales order entry. The company does custom framing and restoration. We would like to be able to build templates and copy to the sales order. The sales person would then be expected to add, change, and/or delete inventory items as needed for the order. We have tried using the estimating module but are unable to get the convert to SO to generate a SO. We have built BOMs with Features & Options, but always run into the issue of not being able to change the inventory item. We would like some suggestions/help on the following issues 1. Is there documentation or flows on how to best use the system for a custom, make to order, job shop? 2. What is the best way to build a template sales order that allows selecting and changing of inventory items each time it is used? Thanks to all - ::) 10/27/07 2:15pm |

As in Picture Framing? We may be able to help each other out - we are a manufacturer/distributor of picture frame moulding. We have a "system" for handling chops and custom orders, but it's probably not ideal - just what we could figure out with DBA. If you like, feel free to call or email me. |
