Title: Slow material issues Post by ddlong on 03/17/08 at 07:07:55 System running really slow! EVO client-server w/ 12/15 istech update We recently loaded the 12/15 update which originally seemed to help system speed, but now it has significantly decreased. It takes almost 30seconds to issue one part. This is unacceptable. I rebooted the server last week, but that didn’t help. Are there any new updates or should I try something else? I don’t remember the last time I reindexed the files if ever and it been a couple of months since I reconciled inventory. I need help quickly – I’m supposed to be off on Wed & Thurs of this week. …Darla Long CIG, Inc. |

Title: Re: Slow material issues Post by kkmfg on 03/18/08 at 11:29:44 Is that the only part of the system that is that slow or is the whole thing that slow? |
Title: Re: Slow material issues Post by Lynn_Pantic on 03/18/08 at 17:34:15 What Darla has told me is that only WO-G has the problem and only for single component issues, not Kit or List. If it was some sort of major network problerm, she would be seeing it in other programs and if it was something really messed up in WO-G, I would be hearing about it from a bunch of other people. I am scratching my head... :-/ |
Title: Re: Slow material issues Post by kkmfg on 03/19/08 at 04:04:11 Thanks for the update. And, yes, that's bazaar. And from what I remember there is no profiling capability in TAS.... |
Title: Re: Slow material issues Post by kkmfg on 03/19/08 at 04:56:31 Unfortunately it sounds as if the easiest course of action is to test it locally with the customer's data files. But that of course requires them to send the whole shebang and also might be a huge drain on time only to find that there is nothing wrong with the program itself... Ahhh, the joys of debugging. Should I mention again the way that this whole process could be made easier on ISTech... Nah... ;-) |
