I thought I had come up with a solution for this years ago but can not find any of the details of that work. I will need to have invoicing distinguish between manufactured items (type F) and resale items (type R) on the same invoice and have them go to separate G/L accounts. Does anyone have a solution to this? or was I just dreaming that I had an idea on tracking this?

The GL account that is used for different parts is determined by the class code not the type. It doesn't matter if they are on the same invoice. You can set up different sales accounts for each item class.

the bells are ringing now! I knew I had looked at this but I was so sure it was Type based I was running with blinders on.
