Title: Label w/Barcodes - how to create?
Post by LeAnn Cucchiara on 05/14/08 at 10:18:14

Does anyone know how to create a label with barcodes for each item on the label?  I need to create one that has the following information for a customer:

Customer's P/N
Rev Level
QTY (amt shipping)
Mfr P/N (our part number)
Date Code
Job Number
PO Number

I went into T6SODD1 & tried to modify it, not sure if this what I should do or not.  I have been able to locate the file (BKARRINV) that has the PO field (BKAR_INV_CUSORD) but not much else.  Also, when adding barcodes do you know how to associate the barcode to the field that you want it to represent?  The one that I looked at shows "barcode" in the DataField but I can not find anywhere that tells it to scan as the Part Number or whatever it is linked to.

As with anything I needed this yesterday - any help would be grealtly appreciated.

When I click on HH - Print Labels - I get a message that T7inga.rwn does not exist and cannot be run.  I assume it was added to a later update than I am running, although HH is on my toolbar.  I don't use a hand held but I thought that I should be able to print labels on my printer from this.

Thanks,
LeAnn

LeAnn, you can create the barcodes by either copying an existing one already on the label or by inserting one using the DBBarCode button in the RTM Editor (TAS-M).  Once created, you need to change the DataField variable name (field) so that the information prints.

The fields are as follows:   Customer P/N = BKIC.REF.CUSCOD, Rev Level = BKIC.PROD.RLVL, Qty (amount shipping) = QTY, Mfr P/N (your part number) = PARTNUM, Date Code = BKAR.INV.ORDDTE (if you meant order date), Job Number = BKAR.INV.JOBNUM, PO Number = BKAR.INV.CUSORD.

The customer P/N may not print as this field was added later than the 9/27/07 update.

For the HH labels, try changing your EVO menu so that it is calling T7HHINGA.RWN.  Again, you may have to update to get it to print.

Thanks for the assistance.  I will give that a try.   :)
