Title: Pricing-
Post by cathyh on 05/21/08 at 12:11:26

I am looking at the pricing in Sales again and would like to consider using it but it would help to know if others are using it successfully and if their structure is anything like ours.
We make replacement parts for individuals/companies, OE parts for companies, and replacement parts for Government.  Those would comprise our basic pricing structure.
I am thinking our retail price would be our base price.  Then we would add price codes for each part (that seems monumental) and then give customers a price code when we set them up.

I am hoping to get some response on if you are using this pricing program and whether or not is is successful and easy to maintain (why we have not used it so far- maintenance!).

Thanks for any input! :)

It works fine but if you have a lot of parts, the maintenance can become an issue.  That is why we have an add-on Import Price Code program so you can do the maintenance in a spreadsheet and then import the new prices when it is time for them to take effect.

Thanks Lynn.  We use a spreadsheet right now to generate our price changes so it would be easy to import this into Evo with your add-on.  I will let  you know if we (powers-that-be) decide to go with this.

I can send you a trial of the add-on if that would help the decision making process.
