Title: Lookup screen comes up behind main screen
Post by cathyh on 07/21/08 at 09:38:23

I know I have seen this in the forum before....

I have a user with an XP workstation and very often when opening a T7 program and then doing a look-up, the look-up screen goes behind the main screen and of course she can't see it!  The main screen cannot be minimized because the look-up screen is open.  She has to move things around to even find the Close button for the lookup screen so that she can close the program.  I have had to give her back the T6 or BK versions of IN-A, IN-B, WO-A to name a few.
There are many other XP workstations here and no one else is consistently complaining about this problem.  I have seen in only once or twice on my machine.

Does anyone have a clue as to what is causing this?  I have a feeling that it has something to do with her Windows XP set up but what??
OR with the Evo Workstation set-up-  she also is one of those who has multiple entries (10 or more) in the "User" screen when she is using the Enter Labor Program, which is another odd thing that happens to her and no one else.
I would really appreciate any kind of input on this as I am trying to get all my users on the new T7 programs.

This happens to me occasionally, and the root is usually that I have another window with a look up open at the same time. Sometimes Alt-Tab will take me to the hidden window, sometimes it won't, so I have to kill the t7 runtimes to clear the problem.

Thanks for your reply, Colin!

What operating system are you using on your workstation?
This user never opens more than one program at a time.
I will have her try the ALT/Tab to see if that does anything.

We saw this at one user about 6 months ago and he advised us about a week later that installing a Windows Update fixed it.
