Title: SCREENS ARE FULL SIZE Post by martel-carol on 09/11/08 at 05:46:40 I have a few users who have their screens come up in full page mode. An example is WO-A which comes up as a full screen and they have to shrink the screen to go to other menus to look up other info. For myself and others, the WO-A screen comes up as only taking up 1/2 of the page and the EVO background is still visible, so we can jump to other menus easily. I do not give the users access to a lot of the settings so I don't think they could have changed a setting. Any ideas? |
Title: Re: SCREENS ARE FULL SIZE Post by kkmfg on 09/11/08 at 05:57:52 Might these users have pressed the maximize button in between the minimize and close buttons at the top right of the window? That would (as you might guess) maximize the window. From then on Evo will probably remember that you want it maximized. The way to stop this is to push the restore button. The restore button takes the place of the maximize button when the window is currently maximized. In other words, it's between minimize and close. Or right click on the titlebar of the window and select Restore. |
Title: Re: SCREENS ARE FULL SIZE Post by martel-carol on 09/11/08 at 08:11:43 They were on minimize. I maximized and then did a restore anyway. It still takes up most of the screeen but they can grab the titlebar and drag it down to get to the EVO menu options behind it. But the WO-A screen still covers the screen horizontally and vertically but it is about 1 inch down from the top. But my WO-A screen is only about 6 x 6 and sits in the middle of my screen with all sides open to the menu behind it. This is only since the updates, but not everyone has the problem. |
Title: Re: SCREENS ARE FULL SIZE Post by NovaZyg on 09/11/08 at 08:21:46 Like KKMFG said, Evo remembers the last size and position of the screens it opens. have the users who have the full screens go to the bottom right corner of that screen and use the mouse to click and drag the corner diagonally to the top left to resize it to where thet want.. OR in their C:\ISTS\DFM folder delete the T7EvoWOA and T7WOA.DFMs that will reset the system to the default versions. |
Title: Re: SCREENS ARE FULL SIZE Post by martel-carol on 09/12/08 at 09:51:19 I deleted the T7EvoWoa & T7WOA.DFM's and rebooted. It's the same. When they open the WO-A the opening list of work orders comes up in the center of the backdrop nice and small. But when they edit a work order (or add one) the screen becomes large again. They can drag it around the backdrop but it can not be sized at all. It still takes up most of the screen. And it opens in maximize with the minimize whited out. I just noticed if I switch to Classic, the screen goes to its correct size and sits in the center of the backdrop. I told them if it bothers them to use Classic View. I think those 2 machines must have computer gliches. The users can live with it, and I will have our IT company run some tests on those machines down the road. Thanks for all your help |
Title: Re: SCREENS ARE FULL SIZE Post by Lynn_Pantic on 09/12/08 at 19:58:57 If you have the latest update (8/4) installed, try UT-A, program T7resetdfm.rwn. It removes all registry settings for screen size and location so you go back to defaults. |
