Title: Phantom Assemblies Post by kbuck on 10/31/08 at 12:58:23 We are looking into the feasibility of adding some phantom assemblies. Where can we get some information on the benefits of setting these up and how we do it? |

Notice that Routings do not figure into phantoms. Labor as a part number can be added to phantoms. The benefit of this type of assembly is that a group of parts can be added to many BOMs with just one part number entry. The group prints out together in the BOM section of the Work Order traveler. We have used it for packaging (bag, box, foam, label, inspection) for a few years. To set it up, just create the part (type B) and add a BOM, like any other assembly. There is an entry on Phantoms in the wiki (http://www.evoerpwiki.com/index.php?title=How_are_Phantom_Assemblies_used%3F), also. |
