We recently upgraded our server to 2008 and upgraded pervasive also to V10-- most users are better off but I am one who is not.

Everything, including start up is slow as molasses. Once I get a program open things seem okay.
It's the actual opening of the program or sub-program (SO-A, IN-A etc) that can take up to a minute or two.

I notice on opening Evo that if I click on the first splash screen (continue) the splash screen appears again and I see in the lower left corner a flash of a program tasform(?) I don't remember seeing that in the past when my connection was working.

My network guys are stumped and so am I. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sounds like your computer is checking every program as it is opened from the server. You might need to set your anti virus software to trust all programs loaded from the drive where your evo apps are. We had this happen on a few systems and they sped up considerably when that setting was changed.

Thanks, Colin, I had a network problem but I had also changed my antivirus software and I think your suggestion definitely helped also.
Too many changes all at once.
