I'm not sure if this is a setting that we need to change in Defaults or if our understanding is faulty. We have Manufacturing Work Orders that require routing changes but time has been charged to them. So what they would like to do is to update the routings of one that has time charged to it via WO-K-A and then copy those changes to update the master routing. If you click on the "Copy to Routing" button on the lower left hand side it allows you to change the routing from and to a specific WO.
Then the line below that is "Copy Work Order Routing to Standard Routing ? [Y, N] Is this asking if you would like to have this work order's routing become the master routing for the part? If so, is there a setting to change to allow you to enter the Y or N to this line? On our system the line doesn't advice to be able to enter anything.
Is anyone using the option? Can you explain to me what it does if not update the master routing?
By Master Routing I mean one that was entered via RO-A that is copied to any subsequent work orders for that part.

If you load WO-K-A and click Copy Routing before entering anything, it prompts for the Copy From work order. Enter the one with the routing you want and leave the Copy To Work Order blank and it will advance to the next line where you can say Y to copy to the Master Routing which will copy it to the RO-A master Routing.
