Title: Income Statement Setup Post by PhippsBird on 03/27/09 at 13:57:32 I have created a new company within EVO - very simple, non-manufacturing company setup to use the Accounting package so that we can do consolidated financials and have one place to go for all the companies. For reasons beyond my understanding I cannot get the Income Statement to reflect anything but $0.00. I have entered all the transactions, checked to be sure that the GL's are within range, that they are "I" type accounts (or E as appropriate) and I do not know where else to look for what I must be missing to turn on/off or enter. I've read through the Manual and reviewed the Help Files. Any suggestions? :-/ Pattie P&B |
Title: Re: Income Statement Setup Post by Lynn_Pantic on 03/29/09 at 07:56:39 Does GL-A show balances in the accounts? |
Title: Re: Income Statement Setup Post by PhippsBird on 03/30/09 at 07:16:06 Yes, but for 2009 not 2008. I entered all the transacations through Dec 31 2008 and nothing yet for 2009 yet the balance in GL-A is in 2009. Pattie |
Title: Re: Income Statement Setup Post by Lynn_Pantic on 03/30/09 at 08:03:30 Double check the fiscal year in AD-A and period dates in AM-N. |
Title: Re: Income Statement Setup Post by PhippsBird on 03/30/09 at 08:50:16 In AD-A the Fiscal Year Start Dt is 01/01/08. In AM-N, the Current Fiscal Start Date is 01/01/08 with the Next Fiscal Start Date as 01/01/10. The Period 1 date under the Current Year Column is 01/01/09. I receive a warning that "The period 1 start date does not match the current fiscal year start date" whether or I change the Next Fiscal Date to "09" or leave it as "10". THEN when I go to AM-B, it wants to reset the next Fiscal Year Date to 2010. I suspect this is exactly where my problem is, yet I am not sure how to correct it. I went and changed all the dates in the Current Year Column in AM-N to match the 2008 date, but it would not accept it - changed it right back to 2009. Pattie |
Title: Re: Income Statement Setup Post by PhippsBird on 03/31/09 at 10:18:49 I have found that the Income Statement prints if I use 2009 as the year - then all the info shows up. This is ok for the Accountants right now but if I add any 2009 entries, it will report them with the 2008 numbers. Is there anyway to get the date change to take effect? Pattie |
Title: Re: Income Statement Setup Post by Lynn_Pantic on 03/31/09 at 12:18:03 When you are changing the dates in AM-N, do NOT use the mouse to click on the date fields. Hit Tab or Enter through the top dates to get to the month by month dates and enter them. |
