Title: Warnings Post by ceesco on 04/02/09 at 09:46:04 The company I maintain is having the following warning this morning. DBA has made changes etc. UT-A run dba program, it is also giving me the Run AP 2001 to convert. The owner made some changes to some items in inventory that didn't belong, what util should i run to clear up these two issues? They are running DBA Classic. |
Title: Re: Warnings Post by Lynn_Pantic on 04/03/09 at 08:07:20 It sounds like you have 2 records in your BKYSMSTR file and one is blank. Use Maintain Database and if there are 2 entries, delete the blank one. |
Title: Re: Warnings Post by ceesco on 04/03/09 at 09:01:44 there is only one file listed when open the maintain db. is there anything else it could be? |
Title: Re: Warnings Post by ceesco on 04/03/09 at 09:03:03 would reinstalling dba help with this issue or would that cause more issues? |
Title: Re: Warnings Post by skyywalker on 04/03/09 at 09:10:49 I think you misunderstood - she's saying open THAT file in Maintain Database...if you see a blank record, then delete it. |
Title: Re: Warnings Post by RPCAdmin on 04/03/09 at 09:22:44 To make it clear - Go to Maintain Database; at Filename, click on the three dots to bring up the list; type in BKYS and you should have BKYSMSTR.B highlighted; hit Enter; If there are two entries - click on the box next to Edit, delete the blank entry and exit. |
Title: Re: Warnings Post by ceesco on 04/03/09 at 10:01:36 Yeah I think I did misunderstand Lynn. I will further investigate the situation; the problem is this is the only client I have that uses DBA period. The rest of my clients are either businesses in the town I am located, or home clients. I am also trying to finish up 6 flash websites, write a few apps for the iPhone, and write some software. Super busy in a failing economy, who knew? |

Title: Re: Warnings Post by ceesco on 04/06/09 at 12:00:59 I resolved the issue; I had been told that the above error was encountered during login, but the error only occurred when trying to create a new PO. AP2001 fixed the issue and now they can enter PO's etc. Thanks everyone for your help! |
