We have had several sales orders (5 found so far - all for the same customer) "disappear" after saving and printing the packing slips.

They have been discovered when our Despatch went to release them and EVO did not have any record of the number.

The sales order numbers are not showing up in the header or line item tables that I can find - the numbers appear to have been skipped.

The orders were reentered on a new order number so they could be sent out but we have no idea what caused them to disappear - and more importantly how we can prevent it from happening again.

We have had the odd sales order missing in the past but thought it was to do with more than one person saving at the same time.

Several in a few days and all for the same customer seems strange.

Any ideas?

(We are on EVO update 12/21/08 and I think there were some patches after that).

There is an SD-Q Default for "Prevent Delete SO in SO-A" - Try turning it on. While nobody will admit deleting them, I have seen other instances where disabling the ability to delete orders made the problem go away.

It happened again!

Yesterday two sales orders in a row 'disappeared'.

Only discovered when despatch went to release them.

The "Prevent Delete SO" in SO-A is turned on - I checked after the last time this happens, so I'm quite sure noone deleted them...

Maybe related because the these modules use the same files. We have had 2 RMAs somewhat disappear during the disposition stage.

Yesterday we dispositioned a RMA but it did not create a WO. We went back into the RM and it said it was already closed; but when you look at the line item you can see that line 2 was still "in Transit", even though we did receive it in and disposition it. It never created a S&R or work order, and we can not reopen it. The order disspeared from the SR-A module - there is no SR or WO

Today while we dispositioned a new S&R and created a Sales Order for credit we found that the sales order is blank - the customer name appears but the line item is blank

Are these things related? We use EVO updated 8/4/08

There were a number of fixes for the SR/RMA module in one of the updates last year, but can't recall if it was August or December. Might be December... probably, because we were hashing out or problems with Mike in August and September.

No, I do not believe that the two are related. The problems you are experiencing are due to incomplete posting of transactions within the SR module. If the status of an SR or RMA gets changed while the lines have not been properly handled then it is hard to get back in sync. Each status (Y, N, S, R, Q) has a meaning and affects the operation of the module bits. It is great when it works, but not so easy to fix if something gets hung up in the middle. =8^O
