Opened a WO today for a type F part that had 3 components. Found out that 2 of the three parts did not show up in allocations at all. The third one showed up and you could see the quantity in allocations but it did not add into the total on the IN-A screen. I seem to be having an ongoing problem because we unfortunately have our default location as a "blank" location but after an update to the software a new default location named "Adco" we had to create. When we open a WO the location defaults to "ADCO" but the components apparently do not always allocate correctly on some type F parts.

I really want the "blank location" and the "ADCO" locations consolidated so that all DBA modules only see one primary location. I would like one of these deleted after consolidation. I have thousands of transactions and hundreds of open work orders so making the wrong move here could potentially be disastrous for us.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

UT-A, program ISLOCBZ will combine all the unwanted locations into one you specify (not blank) so you can combine everything into ADCO.

Thank you. I think I ran this once and it did not deleate the blank location from the item records, is it suppose to? I think the last time I ran it and pulled up a component and checked locations the blank location was still listed.
