I love the auto chain ability. Can we get one that goes from enter SO to convert SO to WO? Please!!!

I'm on SP4 and still don't see SO-A to S/O-N. In fact when I initially suggested auto chaining in "Streamlining data entry"
Nov 14th, 2008, 2:05pm, http://www.istechforum.com/YaBB.pl?num=1226685958/0#0, this was the very first chain that I thought was logical. I don't know how other manufacturers use the system but this is how it goes here.

1. Purchase order received from customer and entered in SO-A
2. SO-A is converted to Work order using SO-N.
3. Work order is edited to include stuff that doesn't get on there in the SO-N process.
4. Traveler is printed.
5. Job is run off and packing slip is made in SO-C.
6. Delivered Packing Slip copy returns to office for billing.
7. S/o is released for billing using S/O-E.
8. Invoice is printed and mailed.

I still would love to see auto chaining that would fit the way I use the system. Is it possible to come up with a way for users to make custom auto chain entries in PS-H so everyone can do what's convenient for them?

The auto chaining is a great idea, but in its present form there aren't many auto chaining options for me. S/O-E to S/O-F is about it.

I am sorry, this is just one that slipped through the cracks.. I will do SO-A - SO-N today.

going forward, I agree, once all the programs are in T7 we can add the ability for any program to autochain to another, and let the useres/admin set these up. But with some legacy .run programs and some new .rwn programs this does not work well. .run to .run is fine and .rwn to .rwn is fine but mixing causes AV errors. That is why we have not put this all over, yet....

Has the chain for SO-A to SO-N been made publicly available? I had it when Lynn mailed it to me a long time ago, but I don't see it in the list since the last couple of upgrades. I need to set up chaining for a new user.
