Title: Revert Back on GL-B
Post by gtladmin on 10/19/09 at 08:11:34

We just applied the latest update and there is an issue with GL-B entries.  We were told to go back to the previous program since the new T7GLB program has some problems.  But we do not have a T6GLB program, only a BKGLB.RUN program from 9/16/2008. Accounting is chomping at the bit for me to switch them back.  HELP!  Based on our last version prior to updating, does anyone know if the old program is in fact BKGLB?  We were on the December update before we moved to the September update, there were no updated in between.

Desperate here...thanks!

Val

There is no T6 version.

Well, Lori said there was, which is why I didn't roll back to the BK version. So I can just roll them back to the BKGLB.RUN version then?
I just want to clarify.

Thanks, Colin

Allen says he went straight from BK to T7. There is an RTM for it that is named T6GLB..., but no T6GLB.RUN program.

Incidentally, what problem are you having? We have not noticed any problems. Is it just your users complaining about the change or have you found a bug?

Honestly, Colin, I just...don't...know.  Probably both.

Thanks for the help here, now I can safely (geez I hope!) switch them back.

I just tried this program on my stand alone version that has SEpt 16 SP2 installed and had a world of trouble with this program.  First, the journal entry number did not populate automatically.  Instead it stayed as the number "0".  I entered a cash receipt and added notes (I am also testing notes system) and saved.  When I tried to exit the program it froze and I had toe get out via the task manager.
Then I opened the program and then clicked on the exit button and the program locked again with all sorts of access violations- only option was to use the task manager.  So, at this point I can not even use the program....

Was this ever fixed?  I just updated screens and I seem to loose the entire entry if it is out of balance.  Seems to not give  you a chance to change an entry, the entire entry just disappears...
