Title: Notes on Travelers
Post by gtladmin on 11/04/09 at 06:31:48

Production says they used to see their notes print out on the travelers in WO-C. They are using T6woc3.rtm.  I have looked at this RTM and can't see where the notes would be--they say they used to show up just under the routing section.  But I don't see any field that would indicate there are notes.

If I need to add this, what is the table/field to add to print the notes?  We do not have Evo Notes enabled yet.

Val

If you do not have Evo Notes enabled but you are using T7WOA to create work orders and add Notes, you need to be sure the Note Type is CSN (Classic Synchronized Note) so that they also get saved to the old style Notes table and the T6WOC RTM can find them.

Thanks, Lynn.  I already asked Production about that, and they were going to check their work order.  I added a note to a work order in our test company and tried to get it to print, but it's still not showing.  I verified the note type is CSN.

When I look at the RTM I just don't see where in there it's got a field set up to pull in the notes.  They are using the T6WOC3.rtm.  Ours is dated 5/6/2005, so it has not been edited in a while.  I'm not actually sure they ever saw notes printed out, but they say they did so they must be on one of the WOC RTMs, just can't figure out which one.   :-?

Thanks,

Val

Update:  Production confirmed that they had entered the note with the STD code. Changing it to the CSN and saving the note did result in the notes printing out on the traveler.

Thanks,

Val
