Obviously its 2010 but I have an invoice to enter for 2009 in AP-B. When I enter the invoice date (12/22/2009) I get the warning message that the date is not in the current year, ok fine but it will not let me move on it keeps giving me the warning message over and over and over again. I know in years past I have been able to enter invoices in for the prior year during the current year. Please help as to why this is not working as its very very frustrating!!!!!

Check AM-A and make sure that "Open Period Start Date" extends back into last year a little.

In addition, you may also want to set "Open Period End Date" so that you do not post stuff into the future.

Thanks for trying to help but unfortunately that did not do the trick. What is so frustrating about this problem is that I have used AP-B to enter invoice for the prior year numerous times in the past. I just cant understand why it keeps going back to the warning message and not letting me enter the invoice information. In AP-C it gives me the same warning message and lets me continue to enter the invoice, ugh!

i get the same message, i have to ask tho, are you answering YES? that it's ok?
i've tested both the classic and gui version to process a a/p voucher to prior year, and it worked fine.

I was hitting that its ok to post to the prior year because thats what I wanted it to do. I guess the problem was taking care of in one of the last patches, after we ran that it works right again.

You are correct, it was a problem fixed in a patch.
