Why don’t I need to run AM-B again?

If I run AM-B to start to end the year, and then later have go back and do some 2009 transactions, ( such as enter a customer a credit and record a payment that didn’t get recorded ) why do I not have to run AM-B again?

because, when the posting date of a transaction is made to the previous fiscal year, it will produce the corresponding YE entry to R/E provided you're transacting to either Income or Expense account.
