If I run GL-D ( all journals for the entire calendar year) and go to the back pages, should not the net transactions (the far right column on the last few pages) all be zero ?

My banks accounts all have credit amounts and then random accounts have credits but most of the accounts have a zero transaction.

I remember when DBA implemented YE Entries, but I can’t remember why?

Income and Expense accounts should net to $0 but not balance sheet accounts if you run GL-D for the entire year, all journals after running AM-B. The Income & Expense accounts net to 0 because they are closed out to Retained Earinings. But Balance sheet accounts will pass a balance forward.

If the bank accounts are all a net credit, then it means you have less available cash on hand than at the end of last year. Sign of the times... :-/

This is a low priority issue for me....unless it will cause unseen problems.

here is an example of an account that did not zero out. Why do I have an ending balance of $50.25? :

Because these transactions were not in BKGLTRAN-B. when I ran AM-B, these amounts were not zeroed out with a YE transaction

I am taxing my blond head to try to remember why 2010 transactions created after I have run year end AM-B doesnt need corresponding YE transaction?
This getting old stuff stinks!
