Long ago I created TBD (to be determined) in SM-D Create Terms Table.
I would like TBD to be my defualt terms for acknowledgements.
How do I change this?

The only way to make it the default for acknowledgements would be to edit the RTM and delete the variable for Terms and replace wit with hard-coded Text that says "Terms TBD"

If edit the RTM and delete the variable for Terms and replace with with hard-coded Text that says "Terms TBD" , then If I go thru AR-A and change the terms on the sales order (and all future sales orders) will always say TBD.

In other words if I edit this in the RTM then I can never change it except thru additional editing of the RTM?

The problem we are having is that our guys are sending out acknowledgements with net 30 days and they should have been COD

did you change SD-P Customer/AR defaults to the term number for the TBD?
that way when a new customer is created, the default terms are the TBD, and for your Acnowledgements are going to get its'Terms from the customer file with the Terms that is assigned to the Customer.
