We are running 2002.1 version of DBA Classic. I want to upgrade to the last supported version, which is v2004.2. Can I apply the 2004.2 update directly or do I need to apply the previous updates in series (2002.2, 2002.3, 2002.4) leading up to 2004.2?

Also, I noticed the 2004.2 install asks whether I want to update or install as new. Is it an option to install the 2004.2 as new. I guess I would then need to get my current data into the new system. Not sure if that is an option.

Wow! how about updating to the latest updates here with IsTechSupport?

anyhow, i'll go take a look at some of my notes from years past. i do believe you'll be alright upgrading from 2002.1 to 2004.2 directly without having to step thru the other versions.
make a complete & current backup of the entire DBAMFG directory. i usually just copy it to another location.
when the install starts, choose the "update" option. follow all the prompts. no you do not want to do the "new" option.
