Can we set a default which will stop any type of inventory from going negative?

Not any single default but there are several different controls. There is a Sales Oder default that can be set so that when SO-E is releasing orders to ship it checks stock and either warns or prohibits releasing quantities greater than on hand. There is also a Work Order default to prevent WO-G from issuing more than on hand and a Purchasing default to check Make-From components to prevent negative on-hand.

When I go into to purchase order defaults- processing- chk stock recvng make from comps- it won't allow me to key in anything? I was trying to do this in the sample copy of our company in EVO to test it.

Also it seems like the regular company already had P in this box to prevent the "make from" from going negative and yet it was still going negative.

Does this default have to be changed when everyone is out of the system or at least the purchase order menu?
