Title: Triggers Post by NovaZyg on 12/06/10 at 16:32:18 We have just added a new Reminders Feature to Evo. It will popup a message at a set date/time with the ability to link to Customers/Vendors/Items/ or a File or URL We are now thinking about adding Triggers to these Reminders. An example of a trigger could be when Stock level of a product is <= reorder level send a reminder to user BOB and MARY to place a PO for more. or Shop floor enters finished production of 100% Send a reminder to Susie to Release and Post the Invoice. or Production is waiting on a part to be received when it comes in send a reminder to STEVE to say the part is now in. We envision this being a new Inventory Button ,per part, called Triggers, and they could be permanent or for the next occurrence of said trigger. We are looking for feedback and or Ideas for triggers. |
Title: Re: Triggers Post by GasGiant on 12/07/10 at 06:04:14 Outstanding idea. Much needed for receipt of parts and for stock levels. One more place I can think of right away is Expiration Dates. We need to know a few months ahead of time that a Lot of product is going to expire. Being able to set a trigger, by item, that goes off X days before expiration would be fantastic. I may think of others... We use our contact manager for customer-related things like warranty expiration. Item related triggers have been a thorn in our side. |
Title: Re: Triggers Post by dbernhard on 12/09/10 at 14:03:27 I think its a great idea. |
Title: Re: Triggers Post by Lynn_Pantic on 01/20/11 at 18:31:21 The Triggers capability is included in the update released 1/18/11. It has triggers prompted by parts hitting Reorder Level, Work Order Finished Production, PO Receipt and Lot/Serial items within X days of expiration. It is available in Evo-ERP only and is enabled at Settings US-A (to turn on the reminders) and then US-G to define the specific Triggers. |
Title: Re: Triggers Post by heliosquare on 01/25/11 at 09:28:57 I have reminders and notification turned on in US-A. Have created a few REORDER triggers but I'm not receiving any notifications? |
Title: Re: Triggers Post by RPCAdmin on 01/26/11 at 08:24:32 Actually, the trigger for PO received is nice, it would be useful to also have a trigger if a PO was not received by the due date (HEY - where is it??) :D |
Title: Re: Triggers Post by NovaZyg on 01/26/11 at 09:59:42 Triggers are events that happen by running programs in the system, ie someone runs PO-C to receive an Item. What program/user would cause an event of Not receiving a part? I'm not sure we could do that. |
Title: Re: Triggers Post by RPCAdmin on 01/26/11 at 10:15:21 I guess it would be nice if the system would somehow notify you that a part with an expected receive date of xx/xx/xxxx did not arrive on time from the vendor, rather than having to go look for it. |
Title: Re: Triggers Post by NovaZyg on 04/20/11 at 15:28:29 Okay you asked for it. I now have Non Event Triggers.. When you log in to Evo if you have EvoReminders turned on, it will now save the date of your last log in. If that date is not today then it will look to see if you have any "NON" type triggers. New Triggers are: "NON PO" If Est. Receipt Date is between the last log in date and less than today and the Order qty is less than the Received Qty you will get a reminder. "NON SO" If Est. Ship Date is between the last log in date and less than today and the Order qty is less than the Shipped Qty you will get a reminder. 'NON WO" If Due Date is between the last log in date and less than today and the Order qty is less than the Qty Complete you will get a reminder. Will be in the next update. ;) Also added are PO, SO and BASE PRICE "PO" If someone adds to or a new PO and it meets the trigger filters then you get a reminder 'SO" If someone adds to or a new SO and it meets the trigger filters then you get a reminder "BASE PRICE" If someone changes the Base Price of a part and it meets the trigger filters then you get a reminder |

Title: Re: Triggers Post by dbernhard on 04/21/11 at 05:40:30 Is it possible to add Triggers to a Customer ... We want to flag a customer to remind us that they are not permitted to Purchase Instruments from us, but they can purchase spare parts in the Sales Order Entry ... I understand that something new is coming but does anyone have any ideas for how to flag a customer right now? Thanks Debra |
Title: Re: Triggers Post by NovaZyg on 04/21/11 at 09:00:48 T7SOA does.. T6 and BKSOA do not.. A lot of work has been done to T7SOA to bring it up to speed but the current released version is still a Beta release. I hope to have it ready for full release by the next Post. Lynn uses the current T7SOA and says it is pretty stable. |
Title: Re: Triggers Post by Lynn_Pantic on 04/22/11 at 14:14:32 If anybody on the January 2011 update would like to try the T7SOA, I can send you the latest version I am using. Just email me and request it. |
