Title: Printing to PDF Post by Kelloggs on 05/05/11 at 11:58:41 When printing and Invoice to pdf. Evo is saving the file as "...\PSOF20110505125358.PDF" it is using the current date and time, I believe. Why is not saving using the invoice number? :-/ Kelloggs |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by Lynn_Pantic on 05/06/11 at 08:19:52 If you email, it does use the document number (invoice, PO, etc.). If you manually print to a file, it expects you to assign a file name and if you do not, it uses a date/time reference. |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by Kelloggs on 05/09/11 at 06:53:20 Hi Lynn, It does not ask you for a file name, just a location. It automatically saves the pdf and uses date and time. It would be good if it uses the document number (wo,so,po, etc, etc) :-[ Kelloggs |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by Lynn_Pantic on 05/09/11 at 07:36:00 You can include the file name in the Location. |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by Kelloggs on 05/09/11 at 07:58:32 Thanks Lynn, I think the document number (Inv, WO, PO, etc, etc) is better than date and time It would be great if you guys change it on the next update. ;) Kelloggs |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by Lynn_Pantic on 05/09/11 at 12:38:54 Unfortunately, the print dialog box is a generic interface and for reports there is no document number. But I will ask programming what they can do. |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by cellis on 03/01/12 at 06:07:42 Is there any plan yet to offer a "save as" option for the pdf files so that they can be named? |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by David Waldmann on 03/30/12 at 04:58:05 They CAN be named. After browsing to or manually typing the path, make sure you have a "\" at the end of the path and type whatever you want for the name. http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c275/dwaldmann/IS%20Tech/FileName.jpg |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by Kelloggs on 03/30/12 at 08:08:31 Of course you can rename to "whateveryouwant" I was trying to avoid the typing, I am lazy...... ;) Kelloggs |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by David Waldmann on 03/30/12 at 08:37:50 Kelloggs - I knew you understood, but it seemed that cellis didn't. |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by Kelloggs on 05/08/12 at 11:17:40 They are printing with the invoice number now yeahhh!!! |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by David Waldmann on 05/08/12 at 11:28:43 Not for us with T7SOF with banner date of 2/17/12 (SP1 version). But anyways that has a different major problem so we're not using it - it always prints both Invoice and Ship Dates as TODAY when you do an Invoice Reprint, regardless of the actual posted Invoice Date. |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by Kelloggs on 05/08/12 at 13:20:57 You must be doing something different than us then. Because we reprint an invoice that was posted on 03/31/12 and the reprint has with the same date. (both: T7SOF and BKSOF) Kelloggs |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by David Waldmann on 05/08/12 at 13:22:52 BKSOF works fine. T7SOF dated 2/17/12 give us TODAY, while the one from the last full update (Dec?) puts in 00/00/00... |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by Kelloggs on 05/08/12 at 13:33:17 It will be interesting to find out what is different about our system or procedures. This is not the first time that I hear: "it works for you" but "it does not work for me" It is like every body is using a different "EVO/DBA" >:( |
Title: Re: Printing to PDF Post by Lynn_Pantic on 05/08/12 at 16:58:59 I will contact David tomorrow and see what I can find out. T7SOF banner date 2/17/12 with Evo Notes set to Y (ENSOF4.RTM) prints the correct original invoice date for me when reprinting a posted invoice. Tried again with Evo Notes set to N and T6 RTM and that worked too. |
