Title: Using make-froms Post by InveCast on 05/25/11 at 05:29:18 I have a finished job in inventory that I need to send to outside machining to make 100 pcs ea. of 10 new details, each assigned a different item #. Can I set this up as a make-from item coding all of them as type M in INV-B? I did some testing setting up a bill of material, consisting of the inventory part that will be used to produce the new details. I entered the finished inventory item as the parent and the 10 new items as components each with quantities. Is this correct or am I on the wrong track? I then entered the inventory item and all 10 items on a purchase order to be sent to the machine house. Then I received all back in and when I printed out the receive purchase order report it said that there were no items received? Looking for some direction.... Linda Rougon InveCast Corporation |
