Title: PO Due Date Padding Post by PaulG on 09/15/11 at 14:53:38 Hi Folks, Is there any way to pad the due dates generated by MRP to account for receiving/qc lead times? The order action report has us bring in material on the day that a work order is supposed to be started and this leaves us no room for error. Thanks, Paul G |

Title: Re: PO Due Date Padding Post by PaulG on 09/16/11 at 11:45:03 This will pad all work order start dates? Even if a work order has no purchased parts in it. On assemblies with 3 or 4 different levels wouldn't this cause us to start work orders way before we need them? Maybe I am misinterpreting how this works. I would like to be able to set up purchased parts to come in 2-3 weeks before the work orders are started without having to start all work orders 2-3+ weeks before they are needed. I hope that makes sense. Paul |
Title: Re: PO Due Date Padding Post by samir686 on 09/20/11 at 09:23:40 Hi, This is just virtual padding. It does not touch the work order start date. Suppose you put in 7 days as padding and your work order xyz-1 has a start date of 10/5/2011 and this work order has one item in it, when you run mrp it will make the inhouse date for that raw part to be 9/28/2011. It does not touch your start date of work order in any ways. I hope this helps |
